POMD began as an exploration of color theory and an experimentation between materials. This series explores the physical, chemical, and psychological properties of, and the interaction between, pigment-based color and colored lights. 

 

These paintings are also created while I listen to music. Music brings about a mood, with which come memories and feelings. As I paint, my entire body is engaged in the action. As is my mind. My body simply translates my entire being- soul, mind, body; every piece of me- into a visual story. I like to think that my paintings dance, laugh, cry- just as I did as I painted them

 

Life is so complex, but beautiful. I want to capture the complexities of humanity and existence.

 

This is just the beginning of my color journey.
